Home / Our Presence / Northeast
Emerald Cities Northeast grew out of a 2018-2019 collaboration called New Energy Model Organization that included NEMO’s founders, national ECC, and environmental organization RMI. Our first program the E-Contractor Academy, launched in Fall 2019 and supported 20 people of color and women contractors with business and technical skills training.
ECC Northeast continues to provide the E-Contractor Academy program with the support of regional partners. To date nearly 50 contractors have participated in the program receiving no-cost business and technical skills training and support. To strengthen continued engagement with and growth of contractors, ECC Northeast offers additional business development services to help contractors navigate finance opportunities, develop growth strategies, and build back office support as part of the national ECC HRAMBI initiative.
Our next cohort is launching Fall 2022 and will focus on energy efficiency retrofits in the affordable housing sector. Reach out to northeast@emeraldcities.org to register today.
Governance
Emerald Cities Northeast has an Advisory Committee to support our economic inclusion work with contractors. Individuals and organizations interested in supporting this work are encouraged to reach out to northeast@emeraldcities.org to learn more.
