Strategic Initiatives

Launched in 2021, ECC’s Strategic Initiatives Division harnesses the deep expertise of our regional teams to provide customized technical assistance to government, corporate, and philanthropic partners. Since its launch, the division has supported 74 jurisdictions nationwide.

The Strategic Initiatives team plays a vital role in shaping a national field of practice by partnering with local, state, and federal governments, philanthropy, and the private sector. Through demonstration projects and strategic advising, we advance best practices in economic inclusion, workforce equity, and community-driven partnerships.

Our services include tailored workshops and presentations, hands-on technical assistance, policy development and advising, and the creation of tools and resources. We place particular emphasis on expanding fair economic development, broad participation for procurement practices, and access to quality workforce opportunities within the growing climate sector.
