The Lynn Climate Resilience Resident Fellowship is a six-month program for Lynn, MA residents who want to help shape how our city prepares for extreme heat, flooding, and rising seas. Fellows will bring their own experiences and neighborhood knowledge into conversations about Lynn’s climate future. There is no cost to participate, and fellows receive a stipend for their time and contributions.
Climate resilience is our community’s ability to prepare for, handle, and recover from climate impacts like heat waves, flooding, and coastal storms. It’s about more than seawalls and storm drains. It’s also about safe and healthy homes, cool places to go in the summer, trees and green space in every neighborhood, and making sure everyone can access emergency weather warnings, resources, and support in a language and format they understand.
Fellows will learn from local experts and one another, share knowledge and experiences from their neighborhoods, and work together to develop priorities and recommendations for the Lynn Climate Resilience Framework: a community-led plan for climate action. In June 2027, fellows will present the Framework directly to City of Lynn leaders. Applications are open October 19 through November 16, 2026, at 11:59 pm.
