HVAC/R Training
Buildings contribute 40% of U.S. carbon emissions
Buildings contribute 40% of U.S. carbon emissions. New public policies to curb carbon emissions and conserve energy will increasingly rely on HVAC/R technicians and commercial building operators to deliver the next level of energy efficiency in homes and commercial buildings.
The HVAC/R Training and Career Preparation Academy delivers content via 12 weeks of 12 evening lectures, demonstrations, and 4 weekend hands-on laboratory training at the HVAC Institute in Kent. This program is intended to create opportunities in the HVAC/R trades for women, veterans, low-income individuals and Black and brown community members.
