The Bureau of Energy and Technology Policy (BETP) and the Environmental Justice Office at the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), is hosting a series of upcoming community engagement sessions related to opportunities and challenges decarbonizing the multifamily building sector. DEEP has hired Emerald Cities Collaborative to facilitate listening sessions with stakeholders involved in multifamily housing development, operations, and investment to collect feedback that can guide program improvements, resource allocation, equity strategies, and communication efforts across DEEP initiatives, including BETP’s programs related to decarbonization and broadband deployment in multifamily buildings.

If you are a Building Owners and/or Tenant, Developer, Contractor, Architect, Policy and Advocacy Organization, or Financing Entity then these events are for you! Come play a role in shaping existing and future BETP programs to improve equitable outcomes and responsiveness to the needs of all stakeholders.

Through these listening sessions, participants will have an opportunity to learn about current DEEP offerings and collaborate on solutions to make them more accessible, effective, and equitable for all. The Roundtable sessions will be organized topics including New Construction, Existing Building, and a Wrap Up & Next Steps Session that will address any remaining items.
