Technical Assistance & Training

In order to advance our high-road mission and meet marketplace demands, ECC serves local councils as a “sustainable development intermediary,” providing them with as-needed technical assistance and capacity building. We've planned and managed a stable of national experts to assist in the design, planning, and execution of high-road retrofit projects.

Financing & Capital Advisory and Investments

We provide planning and operating grants to our Local Councils and connect them to project financing, including recoverable grants and gap financing to fund energy audits, labor and materials and construction. View our Finance Advisory Group members list.

Policy & Advocacy

We're assessing the local regulatory environments, designing customized policy agendas, and advocating at the local, state, and national levels for supportive legislation. Our perspective covers both inside Washington, with updated information on what’s going on on the Hill that’s relevant, as well as voices from the field, covering any local policies and initiatives.

Virtual Trainings

ECC's Virtual Training Series is replacing last year's quarterly training sessions in the form of two 60-minute webinar sessions per month, for all of our staff, stakeholders, and friends. Just like the training sessions, these webinars will strengthen our capacity to implement major components of the high road retrofit development process. Each session is customized to meet city-specific needs and develop effective energy market intermediaries. Our Virtual Training Series utilizes the expertise of guest presenters, including our high-caliber team of national subject matter experts, board members, industry professionals, and administrative personnel to help navigate these critical topics. Click here to view ECC Virtual Training Series Events.

Career Pathways

In conjunction with our partners, our board organizations,  local labor unions, and training programs, we're developing a comprehensive workforce development business model that is scalable and adaptable across our different regions and markets. We aim to aggregate existing programs and resources while streamlining the process of training locally for building and energy efficiency retrofits and green careers.
