Theresa Robinson
Strategic Communications Manager
Theresa Robinson is the Strategic Communications Manager at Emerald Cities Collaborative (ECC), responsible for planning, implementing, and executing comprehensive marketing strategies organization-wide.
Before joining ECC, Theresa served as an Operations Executive/Marketing Director for a female and minority-controlled non-profit, overseeing processes, managers, and departments for overall functionality and effectiveness. Theresa worked and gained experience working in the public sector and private sectors. Theresa worked in the local county government as a Human Service Processor and Specialist III for the Department of Health and Human Services, processing and approving SNAP and Cash Assistance (GA/TANF) applications. While serving at DHS, Theresa gained years of experience working with vulnerable populations, cross-interviewing, analyzing financial records, and computing monthly allotments to households living below federal poverty limits.
After exiting DHS, Theresa shifted her career focus, eager to enter the field where she obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree. She accepted the position of Digital Marketing Executive for WFMZ-TV (Channel 69 News) in the Philadelphia DMA. Theresa effectively prospected advertisers and pitched concepts for programmatic, OTT, and other digital advertising campaigns up to $100,000 per quarter. Theresa became an expert in approaching critical decision-makers at large corporations and fostering and cultivating relationships that contribute to securing deals.
Having over ten years of experience in various sectors spearheading social media, marketing, and PR campaigns and being a public servant in county government, Theresa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management with a concentration in Marketing from Johnson & Wales University. Theresa also holds a Master of Administrative Science degree in Business Communications from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Theresa is no stranger to working with the disadvantaged and LIMU communities. She strongly believes that “to whom much is given, much is required” and is dedicated to fighting to be a voice for the voiceless, regardless of the cost to herself.
