Katie is the Project Director at Emerald Cities, primarily responsible for facilitating the work of the Just Transition PowerForce. Based in Phoenix, AZ, and comes to Emerald Cities after journeys in the food and restaurant industry, art and cultural organizing focused on the rights of immigrants and Indigenous communities’ land and water, academic studies in sustainability and energy issues, and, most recently, organizing with frontline communities as Energy & Public Lands Coordinator for Sierra Club’s Grand Canyon Chapter (with a focus on energy utilities).
