Justyce Watson is an Economic Inclusion Manager for the DC Metropolitan Region at Emerald Cities Collaborative, where she manages the Contractor Development activities. She brings 10+ years of project management experience, racial equity analysis, and diversity, equity, and inclusion facilitation. She has centered her professional and academic experiences on community and people development solutions with a specific focus on providing solutions to close the racial wealth gap and empower economically disadvantaged communities. She has served as a leader in the field in her previous roles as a policy program coordinator in the Urban Institute’s Office of Race and Equity Research and as the director of operations for a small woman and minority owned organization, The Marlo Companies, Inc. She is passionate about influencing upward mobility for communities who have been systematically disadvantaged and underserved. She prides herself in bringing the much-needed humanization, communication, and relationship cultivation to every space she encounters. Watson is a certified Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute and holds a BA in communication studies with a focus on public relations from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
