Diego Cocon
Program Coordinator, Southern California
Diego is thrilled to join Emerald Cities Collaborative as a Program Coordinator intern. His journey has been all about my passion for education and creating inclusive learning experiences that connect with students.
Before this, he was a professor and program director at the University of Antelope Valley, focusing on sports management. He loved bringing sustainability into the mix and involving students in community service. Ensuring his classrooms were welcoming and inclusive has always been super important to him.
Outside of work, he is big into community service projects. He is committed to making a positive impact. With his master’s in business administration and fluency in English and Spanish, he is excited to inspire the next generation and build strong connections in our community.
Diego has also been passionate about workforce development, helping students prepare for meaningful careers and beyond. He believes in teamwork and open communication to make things happen. He can’t wait to collaborate with the Emerald Cities Collaborative team and make a real difference.
