National

Nationally, Emerald Cities advocates for federal and regional policies that support a high-road approach to creating more sustainable, just and democratic communities. Our Community Learning Partnership is developing a national network of equity-oriented climate justice advocates; our Water Caucus is working to address equitable access to clean water; our Energy Democracy and Electrification work advances equity in clean energy solutions; and our HRAMBI program is ensuring MWDBE businesses are equitably engaged in helping to build a more sustainable future.

Northwest

To support Seattle’s Climate Action Plan, EC Seattle is leading a multi-stakeholder group to explore policy opportunities that will advance energy efficiency in commercial buildings. Together with outstanding local private and public sector leaders, we have created the Emerald Plan, which will position the region to become carbon-neutral by 2050.

Northern California

EC Bay Area is in the process of building and deploying RENEW Multi-family, a program that provides a comprehensive approach to achieving energy and water efficiency savings in multi-family rental housing serving low- and moderate-income residents.

Southern California

EC Los Angeles is partnering with the LA County to pilot its Southern California Regional Energy Network (SoCalREN), which is developing energy efficiency financing and retrofit infrastructure to support 55 local government partners. Emerald Cities is providing workforce development and finance assistance.

Northeast

EC Boston’s E-contractor academy is preparing small MWDBE businesses to compete for and perform energy efficiency retrofits in public, commercial and residential buildings; renewable energy projects; and green infrastructure projects.
