
Neha Bazaj
Senior Economic Inclusion Manager, Bay Area
Neha is a Senior Economic Inclusion Manager for the Bay Area region of Emerald Cities. She is excited to contribute to an energy transition that brings economic and environmental benefits to communities most impacted by historic disinvestment and climate change. Prior to Emerald Cities, Neha was a Senior Analyst at the California Public Utilities Commission where she managed statewide research projects and policy implementation. She started her career in sustainable agriculture and community food systems, working to increase communities’ access to healthy and affordable food through backyard and community gardens, farmers markets and farm to school partnerships. She holds a master’s in city planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a trained mediator. In her free time she enjoys hiking, bike rides, puzzles, science fiction and too much coffee.
